Giroud’s abs
“He has a good, strong body and I feel he has qualities that are needed in our squad. Hopefully he can show that."
Arsene Wenger on new signing Olivier Giroud, 2012

Over the course of his six seasons at Arsenal, the terraces were often divided when it came to Olivier Giroud.
There were those who admired him for his hold-up play and battering ram tendencies and others who just couldn't get their head around his immobility and profligacy in front of goal.
That said, there was one thing everybody did agree on; he was a proper hunk.
Arriving from Montpellier in 2012 as an unknown quantity, it was notable that supporters were far more interested in a racy spread in French gay magazine Têtu than the Ligue 1 title he'd just won.
As one commenter on Arseblog News wrote: "Finally, we get a proper replacement for Freddie Ljungberg."
While another joked: "I'll be carrying lotion for each and every one of Arsenal's games."
A personal favourite read: "Woof!"
He would later be known to Arseblog readers as Handsome French Bloke or HFB for short.
Known to spend a fair amount of time in front of the mirror after training, Giroud was at least able to laugh about his perceived vanity.
Featuring alongside teammates in an advert for Stonewall’s ‘Rainbow Laces’ campaign, he appeared on screen topless, spraying himself with fake tan before declaring, "I can’t change that I am gorgeous".
A cheeky wink rounded things off. The internet went wild.
Of course, there was more to Olivier than glistening abs and a sparkle in his eye.
By the time he left the club for Chelsea, he had 105 goals to his name, assists for winning goals in two FA Cup finals (2014 and 2016) and the Puskas trophy, awarded by Fifa in 2017 to the most aesthetically pleasing scorpion kick you'll ever witness.
When it came to helping Arsene turn football into art, Giroud was more than a statuesque David.
