The Invincibles by Richard Croft

It's hard to believe over ten years have passed since Ruud van Nistelrooy missed a last-minute penalty at Old Trafford as Arsene Wenger's squad ground out a hard fought 0-0 draw against Manchester United to extend their unbeaten league run on the way to 'Invincible' immortality.

Eager to pay homage to English football's greatest side, photographer Richard Croft exchanged his camera for a pencil before painstakingly drawing the above image featuring four of the 03/04 side's greats against the backdrop of Highbury.

Taking centre stage is Thierry, celebrating THAT goal against Liverpool, while the likes of Bobby, Dennis, Paddy and Freddie have also been beautifully crafted. If you're anything like me, the picture will provoke a wistful sigh of those glorious days gone by.

Thanks to Richard for sending his work, you can check out his photography portfolio (and impressive CV) here
