The Match Day on Hornsey Road

From cherished Cup Final programmes to childhood kits, sticker albums to autographed photos, handbooks to commemorative artwork, football supporters have long formed emotional attachments with memorabilia that pays homage to their relationship with their club.

The furious bidding on lots of Highbury Stadium paraphernalia at the club’s 2006 charity auction serves as proof that the appetite for collecting amongst the Arsenal fraternity is particularly strong, while the popularity of the club’s museum and stadium tours underlines an ingrained eagerness on the part of fans to soak up every aspect of the club’s rich 126-year history.

Given such cravings, we're certain that The Match Day, a new venture by Dan Landau which straddles gallery, museum and shop status, will prove very popular. Situated around the corner from the Emirates on Hornsey Road it showcases supporter memorabilia alongside upcycled Gunners-themed furniture and other unique merchandise which is for sale.

The fan shop, which is currently only open on match days and weekends, has its own Facebook page for those looking to learn more and certainly looks like a worthwhile destination in between pints on the way to the game. Full address and further snaps below...
